this is one of the steps in our strategicplanning process to provide students with state-of-the-art, actually leading edge, classroom and learning environments. this will be if not the best, one of thebest, in the country for active learning in this country. everything is state of the art, it is thevery newest technology and this is going to be a fantastic venue for these students tolearn and collaborate together with new learning styles, new teaching styles. this will be a great facility. one of the most exciting things about thisparticular building is its flexibility.
so all of the furniture is designed to bemoved in different configurations within a minute or less. this is one of two large classrooms, willseat approximately 160. we have between 40 and 50 group spaces between the two buildings, so that’s going to be a lot of space forthem to work together with students and faculty from their classes, from other classes. the ceiling height in here is approximately65 feet, so it’s a very high open area. the daylight that you see coming in, thatactually will remain. that’s the natural light that is going tocome into this area through that clear story.
you see the grand stair that’s been constructed. this will be the primary means of access forthe students to get between the three levels here in mell classroom. we think this will become one of the big hubson campus for student interaction, learning. this will be the place to be.
