the torsion pendulum simulation will helpto analyse various aspect of the torsion oscillation of a string in different medium. a body whichis suspended by thread or wire twist the suspension: first in one direction and then in reversedirection , but the centre of the gravity of the body remains at one place at all thetime. such an oscillation is called torsional oscillation.torsion pendulum consists of a massive disc or cylinder or dumbbell suspended by a thinuniform wire which is firmly fixed to a rigid support. the mass is rotated towards smallangle about the wire at the axis and release .the disc makes torsional oscillations.using this simulator we can demonstrate tensional oscillations of different objects such asdisc, cylinder, dumb bell etc. variation of
